Weekly Pill – Lorena Ramirez

🇬🇧🏃🏾‍♀️🌬There are people who #run without knowing whither they are going and they worry about useless things. There are people, such as Lorena, who run peacefully. They bear in mind their destination & enjoy the road they take.

👣Lorena Ramírez is a long-distance #runner. She runs wearing a traditional long skirt and sandals.
Lorena is Tarahumara/Rarámuri, a group of #indigenous people of the Americas living in the state of Chihuahua, #Mexico.
Where she lives, in the isolated rugged #mountains and deep #canyons of #SierraMadreOccidental, people run to reach distant settlements. In fact, Rarámuri means “those who run fast”/“the lightning-footed people.” So, she runs for passion and started because of need to get to places faster.
Lorena listens to the wind blow and follows it.
